synonyms: Red Hand Commando (RHC) The LRDG was involved in a campaign of attacks in 1991 against Catholics working in shops which sold An Phoblacht (Republican News). The group killed two Catholic newsagents in west Belfast during that year. In September 1992 the group issued more threats against Catholics.
