A group that was established in the late 1980s. It was set up in response to what was seen as Irish Republican Army (IRA) efforts to disrupt the rail link between Belfast and Dublin. Members of the peace group travelled to and from Belfast and Dublin on specially chartered trains. The chairman was Sam McAughtry, a writer and broadcaster who later became a member of the Irish Senate.
